What Does Having An Ultrasound To Check For Viability Mean?
I had a miscarriage at the end of April and did not plan to try again right away but now I got a positive today. This is my 3rd pregnancy in 1 year so they ordered an ultrasound for june 4 to check for viability. After my last miscarriage all of my preg symptoms went away and are back now with full force. Am I pregnant or is it just lingering hormones from my last preg?
I am sorry for your loss. I have also experienced a miscarriage and I know how hard it is. I believe checking viability means they are going to check for a yolk sac and fetal tissue. You may be too early to detect a heartbeat. They just want to make sure that there is a pregnancy.
Sorry for your loss. This happened to my husband and I. I had a miscarriage in feb and was pregnant by march. It just means that they want to make sure that there is a sac and fetus. Because sometimes if not all the tissue was discharged it could actually come out on a test your pregnant and it tricks your body:S However my pregnancy symptoms were back in full force as well … went for my ultrasound and found a little heartbeat of a 6 weeks fetus! I am now 15 weeks, so stay positive! Good luck!
Checking for viability mean to check for heart beat and to see if it implanted well. Pretty much to see if it’s alive. I’m not sure about the pregnancy or just lingering hormones. Call a health line or see a doctor to clarify things
They are going to check and see if there is a heartbeat, and see if the baby implanted right.
I’m sorry for your loss!
Good luck
