Politics – effects of Super-Pac Money on choices for political candidites?

I have the basic idea of what Super-Pacs are, but i’m having some trouble with the details and research etc.

Basically, what are the “effects of Super-Pac Money on choices for political candidites?”
in fair detail, rather enough to write a reasonable sized paper on it

Looking for about 3 effects of something along those lines

What are your ideas for taking the money out of our political elections?

All of our elected officials need millions of dollars for their campaigns, and the money is now mostly PAC money – if the elected official wants to keep his/her position in the next election, you better believe they will vote the way their PACs want them to!

Isn’t it time to take the money out of our elections?

Who makes better money an lvn or a radiology tech?

between an lvn or a radiology technician.

Is the Democratic Party committing suicide by not taking lobbyist money?

Barack Obama is trying to impose his party in the new mold of his campaign, of not taking money from lobbyists and PACs. Sounds nice, but is this good for the party? Political parties rely on these, and stopping them may not be prudent for campaigns beyond a Dem favorable atmosphere with anemic Republican efforts. For example, if 2010 doesn’t look good for Dems, would it be smart to not take lobbyist money? For the party overall, is this new anti-lobbyist money policy smart?

What political money collecting device did President Obama find so lucrative in 2008 campaign?

Did he use PACS, Sig PACS, super pacs or what kind of political money getting method to get money in 2008?

Do you support the insertion of Super PACs, Corporate money, and hidden donors into these elections?

Do you support the ruling of the Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission ruling by the Supreme Court, which now allows for untraced large amounts of money from Corporations & foreign sources to flow through our electoral process?
John Hinkle: He’s playing by the rules that the right wing created.

Has Obama ever accepted money from PACS or lobbyists?

I want to know Barack Obama’s history of associations with PACS and lobbyists, since he has indicated he never took money from them.

How To Save Time And Money: Use A State-Of-The-Art Mammography Workstation

A mammography imaging center relies on a fast yet accurate turnover of high-quality digital images in order to stay in the black.  One major way to use less time and therefore save money is to invest in teleradiology solutions for your imaging center or hospital.  PACS appliances include the software and server hardware that you need to use at your mammography workstation in order to store, manage, distribute and view your digital medical images.

Storage and the Mammography Workstation

You will save a great deal of money and frustration if you look for a mammography workstation that allows you to start with the storage size that you need, and also lets you expand the storage size in the future if your needs change.  Servers for these workstations should use RAID 5 archiving capacity in sizes starting at one terabyte and up for the best storage solution at the most cost-effective price for your hospital or imaging center.  Digital storage solutions also help your medical facility to comply with HIPPA regulations more easily and inexpensively.

Manage Medical Digital Images On A Mammography Workstation

A mammography viewer that utilizes teleradiology allows multiple concurrent users to access and manage the medical digital images.  This type of mammo viewer allows for very fast query and retrieval of the specific digital images you need, and these images are much less likely to be misfiled in a digital environment with several layers of identification involved.  Your medical facility’s full range of medical digital images also must be managed according to HIPPA guidelines, with backup and storage, as well as disaster recovery, taken into consideration.  A mammography viewer with the appropriate server and software can help you manage your digital images quickly and easily on a daily basis.

View And Distribute Medical Digital Images Using A Mammography Viewer

A mammo viewer that is easy to use will save your staff a great deal of time, and will thus also save money.  Instead of making multiple queries and retrievals in order to compare images, you will want a mammography viewer that allows you to view multiple studies side by side.  A mammo viewer that offers fast retrieval times is also very helpful.

Another useful quality in a mammo viewer is to able to customize the pre-fetching of relevant prior digital images and reports.  A mammography viewer that allows for the staff to define the mammography report flow needed also improves workflow, and thus all of these features combined allow for faster yet accurate processing of images and reports, all of which helps to save your facility money.  Secure distribution of medical reports and digital images is entirely possible when using an effective mammography workstation that is designed to perform all the functions that you need to improve patient care at the best price.

How Computed Radiography Systems Can Improve Workflow and Save Money

Computed Radiography is a tried and true method of acquiring medical digital images for use as x-rays.  Computed radiography systems are not only available for large hospitals, but also for small and medium-sized medical facilities, orthopedic offices and others.  Now you can use exceptional CR systems, including AGFA CR, Kodak CR, and Fuji CR units, to complement your existing radiography equipment and move it up to low-volume digital imagery at an affordable price.

CR systems can be used both in the office and off-site.  With a CR unit, you also have more flexibility in taking patient images because the patient can be lying or sitting down.  Reusable cassettes are used for the digital image capture, which is a cost savings over film and development chemicals that need to be replaced for every image taken.

The Kodak CR systems offer an attractive group of digital imaging units.  Several of the Kodak CR systems come with a mini-PACS system as well, so that you can archive and distribute your digital images quickly and easily.

The AGFA CR 30-X and 35-X systems are compact and produce high resolution digital medical images.  The AGFA CR systems allow you to meet HIPPA requirements in terms of medical digital image archiving and storage.  The CR30-X is a compact tabletop device that runs on standard electrical outlets, saving space as well as time in that it offers a simpler installation than other systems.  The AGFA CR 35-X offers three unique image resolution modes for your convenience.

Fuji CR systems are available in XC-1 and XL-1 models.  Both have a small footprint, making them suitable for use in exam rooms.  They offer fast image previews in less than a minute, and offer imaging plates in a variety of sizes appropriate to your medical digital imaging tasks.  The Fuji CR XL-1 can send digital images to your PACS system, where the images can be stored, and it will also enable you to print hard copies of your digital medical images to film.  The Fuji CR XC-1 can process 35 plates measuring 14X17 per hour, while the XL-1 can read 62 similar sized plates each hour, for improved workflow in your digital imaging department.

Computed radiography systems such as the AGFA, Fuji and Kodak CR units make a great choice for when you want to retrofit the radiology equipment that you already have in place.  By upgrading your current equipment so that it produces digital medical images, you can also benefit by being able to use a PACS system for digital archiving both on and off-site, and can implement teleradiology to send and receive digital images.

Using A Dicom Viewer For Web Teleradiology Can Save Money

Physicians, nurses, administrators and imaging specialists are making the switch to teleradiology using a dicom viewer as part of their system.

Teleradiology works in much the same way as sending an email message does: you create a message, then send it via the World Wide Web to your recipient, who will read it and respond in some way. Digital medical images can also be sent on secure transmission lines to doctors, medical facilities, specialists, consultants, or anyone else you grant authorization, where they will be viewed using a dicom reader, also known as a dicom viewer.

There are many cost advantages to going to digital imagery systems that utilize the dicom reader, because of the savings of money and time. If you have your medical practice in a rural setting, you know that hiring full-time specialists can be too cost prohibitive. Even bringing in consultants, specialists, and physicians for second opinions can require a heavy cash outlay for transportation and accommodation. Instead, you can save money and still have access to the finest specialists that you need by using a dicom viewer along with appropriate imaging software. A web dicom viewer and pacs software allows you to send your patient’s medical digital images securely online to your consulting physician, who can look at the images on a dicom viewer, make a diagnosis and get the information back to you rapidly, at no extra cost to you or your facility. By using a dicom reader, you can consult with physicians anywhere in the world by using the access provided by the Internet, at a fraction of the cost required for bringing them to your medical office or hospital.

There are also cost advantages that come from using digital images and dicom viewers over traditional film images. You will not need to purchase film when you are using digital imaging devices. You will also save money on related imaging costs, such as the development chemicals that are hazardous to store and use, which are not used with a dicom viewer. Because time equals money in the medical field, you can save money by taking advantage of the speed-enhancing qualities inherent in dicom viewers. Because of the immediate nature of communicating online, you can have instant access to your digital images and diagnostic results right on your dicom reader. Compare that to paying staff to retrieve and file hard-copy images, as well as maintaining a storage area big enough for several thousand patient images for years, as mandated by HIPPA regulations. Digital images can be accessed anywhere there is an Internet connection by authorized personnel by using a web dicom viewer. This allows you to easily consult with other physicians anywhere in your office, across town or around the world. A web dicom viewer makes all of this flexibility and cost effectiveness possible.

In this article Wayne Hemrick writes about dicom viewers.
