Facing The War Times – 6 Points To Keep Your Peace Of Mind

While cold war was at its peak in the United States, the US Government drafted several programs in order to prepare the citizens for the nuclear holocaust. The program also included making the bomb shelters beneath the ground that were hundreds of feet low. Also the teachers in the schools had started teaching the children how to stay beneath the tables in the event of some attack. However, in 1989, this cold war culminated ending the threat to the nation.

Unfortunately, after the incident of 9/11, United States of America has been facing new enemies. While earlier USA considered itself as a country with vast army that is capable of invading any size of nation across the glob, they are now bound to face a guerilla war. Their enemy is conducting terrorist attacks inside as well outside the country.

After 2001, the country has fortunately met with no major strikes. Yet the intelligence communities across the globe state that attempts were made to bomb the transatlantic from UK.

USA like all other parts of the world does not want another war, but with the rising conflict this seems to be quite tough. Yet, on a hopeful note, it is not impossible.

We must not forget that the next big war in this world of thermonuclear powers would be good enough to destroy the whole human civilization. The usage of the chemical & biological weapons is major threat among all human beings.

Here are some tips to survive the war emergency.

1. The next time you visit the super market to fill in the replenished food items of the house, make sure to pick some extra cans of packed food. This doesn’t get spoilt until it is opened. This way you shall be able to keep a stock of the food at home for the emergency times.

2. In order to avoid dehydration in the times of war emergency, you must stock the drinkable water in enough quantity for the entire family. For this buy plastic jugs from the supermarket. At times you would become bound to fill in the water from the faucet. To make this water drinkable and safe, just add the purification tablet in to it and boil it for some times.

3. Make sure to have a medical kit or the first aid box ready with all medicines fresh and unexpired. The key contents of this kit are disinfectant, gauzes, cotton balls, Q-tips, medicated plasters, and all necessary medicines. Make sure to have one of such kit in your vehicle as well. Also, in case some member of the house is under some special medication, have enough stock that should last you until the storm gets over. Remember the drug stores might not be opened for a few days even after the storm gets over.

4. In case it becomes necessary to evacuate the houses, make sure to carry a backpack with some cash, water, food, some extra clothes, flash light, match boxes, compass, candy, identification cards, etc. This backpack should anyways be ready for each member of the house so that one does not have to make it last minute.

5. The citizens must keep themselves updated on the federal governments’ plans of safety for the city. At times the states have some contingency plans. These are announced on the Internet, television, etc. In such cases the people must stay calm & slowly evacuate.

6. Anyways, in the war times, it is one’s own will power to face the world.

Initially, when the 9/11 incident happened, every one understood that after fifty years of safety, people in US are not safe. They must be prepared for the bad people of the world all geared up to harm them.
